New traffic signs will be in Belarusian |

 An upholder of Movement ‘For freedom’ Andrej Jurkou (on the photo) asked local ‘vertical’ to explain why in Drybin region new traffic signs are in Russian. He sent the written letter for this reason to the Drybin executive committee.
Andrej Jurkou has paid attention of the local administration that in all neighboring regions the names of places in the signs are in Belarusian. And Drybin region contrasts among them.
A head of the Drybin regional executive committee Piotr Panasiuha in his answer explained, that ‘placement of informational signs occurs according to STB-1140-99 point 4.1.17, in which it has told that information should be in Belarusian or Russian (preferably in Belarusian). The head of local ‘vertical’ promised to place new traffic signs in Belarusian when old ones become worthless. |
