 Activists of Horki democratic groups have summarized the preliminary results of the drive for signatures. As the results show the most active on this stage of the electoral campaign to local Council were the members of Movement “For Freedom” (MFF). |

 In Horki, the administrations of the constituency commissions on elections to the Mahiliou oblast Soviet of Deputies and the district election commission on elections to the Horki district Soviet of Deputies consists of the persons whose stable place of work is the Horki district executive committee, and Ina Kurtsina, secretary of this commission, is Deputy Chairperson of the education department of the Horki DEC[1]. |

 On 13 February 2010 Illia Zaranok (on photo), a civil activist from Horki, was questioned in the intergarrison military procuracy in Mahiliou concerning an anonymous letter where it was stated that he had given a bribe to the military commissar of the Horki district. |

THE BCD ACTIVIST MR.MALANACHKIN (ON THE PHOTO) FROM GORKI IS ACCUSED IN GIVING BRIBE.
The anonymous letter sent to the military attorney’s office in Magileu said that someone from Malanachkin’s family, either he or his 19-year-old son Illya, gave a bribe to a head of Horki recruitment office Mr. Khitruk so that Illya would not serve in the army. |

 The leader of Belarusian Christian Democracy Paval Sieviarynets (on the photo) visited Horki. He met with members of BCD and believers of the local protestant church “Freedom in God”. Mr.Sieviarynets is taking a tour around the Belarusian regions and conducts meetings with the local activists with regard to the upcoming elections to the local deputy councils. |

Workers of the agricultural cooperative Horki appealed to local NGOs for defense. They told that in December 2009 in their firm salaries were roughly reduced. The directorship of the enterprise deducted the most part of the wages.  Two girls Solly and Suzanna (on the photo) from Germany and their friend Regina from Russia spent these Saturday and Sunday in our city. Germans have been working as volunteers in Mahilou for several months. They take part in the activity of Mahilou nongovernmental organization the Charitable Child’s Art Foundation Blue Banks. This organization upholds disabled persons (creates new workstations, develops art skills of children, organizes work of special sections in different spheres of interests). |
