Ecological action

Local youth liquidated three dumps in Horki. Active students and young persons cleaned up dumps in one part of the city named Slabada. This action was a result of ecological hearings held in all schools in Horki.

In Horki the places for meetings with candidates for deputies are uncomfortable for voters and candidates. This provides low participation of voters in such events. One of the democratic candidates in Horki Eduard Brokarau is allowed to meet with citizens not on the territory of their constituency but on the neighboring one.

Halina Budnaja one of the democratic candidates in Horki informed horki.info that at her Piershamajski constituency №15 the box for preliminary voting is sealed up with plasticine.

Workers won lawsuit in Horki

UzGorak told the truth

An editor of officially registered weekly UzGorak Eduard Brokarau sent post card of campaign Tell the Truth to the administration of president. In the letter the journalist told that his newspaper has problems with its distribution.

Unreal Student Life 2010

The exhibition Unreal Student Life 2010 was hold in Horki in the picture gallery. The beginning of this exhibition was agreed in Minsk three years ago by initiative group of students, who were tired of “official” boring exhibition. This art-festival won the hurts of young people very quickly.

Candidates are registered

On March, 26 in Horki all candidates for deputies of the Local Councils of Deputies of the 26th convocation were registered. Among them there are three democrats: Eduard Brokarau an owner of the local officially registered newspaper UzGorak, Halina Budnaja a journalist of the UzGorak, and a schoolteacher from Ausianka Zana Scharbinina.

Independence Day in Horki

Members of local civic organizations and initiatives congratulated Horki youth with unofficial Independence Day. Since the morning activists distributed special color booklets with information about March 25, 1918, when first Belarusian Republic (Belarusian Democratic Republic) proclaimed its independence.

Independent candidates in Horki collected 480 signatures during local electoral campaign.
