Horki protestant fined for Bible delivering

Pyotr Malanachkin (see photo), member of the Evangelic Church in Horki town, was fined five basic units (60 USD). He delivered the Bible, the New Testament, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

The first official issue of Uzgorak

Since today and every Thursday in Horki, Drybin and Mscislau regions of Mahilou province a local independent newspaper “Uzgorak” begins its official publishing. The thirst issue of “Uzgorak” has 1,000 copies circulation and tells its readers about the centralized testing in Belarusian State Agricultural Academy in Horki, acquaint with a schedule of the religious festival in Mscislau and introduce criminal news from Drybin.

At present conception of sustainable development became main subject in social-economic policy of many countries of the world. Many countries began to work out new waist less technologies for providing ecological safety and stabile development. The most important solution of this problem is accurate relation with nature, level of ecological culture, ecological consciousness and knowledge of the rights, connection with healthy life. Without this complex measure it’s difficult to think over sustainable development and surviving of a human in a situation of the economic crisis. Horki talents – for ecology

In the meeting hall of the Horki secondary school N1 a musical event supporting the action `Motherland year` was held. It was organized by local educational department, civil activists and amateurs of art. Presentation was held in united atmosphere between singers and spectators.

Mahilou citizens – against NPP

Within the framework of the campaign Chernobyl Week activists of the Horki antinuclear group led the following action in Mahilou. They collected signatures under the petition addressed to the government against building nuclear power station (NPP) in Belarus. Some local activists helped them with it. Finally about 200 signatures were collected.
